„Natural reserve“ on “Exit 05”
In the period from 7th to 10th of July, in year 2005 the project “Ekologuj se!!!” was carried out at the “Exit 05” music festival. It’s goal was to make the visitors of the festival more familiar with environmental protection, as well as nature protection in general, and remind them about how they should relate to nature and its values. Twenty of our Society’s members participated in this program.
On our “Reserve” named stage following activities were carried out:
„RECYCLE ART – make and carry”:
The visitors of our stage were involved in a creative workshop of recycling:
- paper – making sculptures, boards, different objects and their painting.
- plastics – from plastic waste (cups, bottles) festival visitors created “plastic nature” which was on the last day of the festival torn down and grinded in a grinder for plastics (provided by “Brzan Plast” recycling agency).
The workshop was carried out by Sonja Ardan – bachelor of graphic design and Miloš Vujaklija – sculptor.
„PLASTIC EXCHANGE – you give us plastics, we give you...”:
The visitors brought plastic cups and bottles, and, in exchange (depending on the amount of the plastics) – got an apple, a badge with “I want No plastic bag” message, a “breathe deeply” mask, accessories made in the paper recycling workshop, a present from the recycling agency etc. Visitors grinded all the exchanged plastics in the grinder (and thus recycling started), or creatively expressed themselves by creating “plastic nature”.
„LOOK AT ME – I`M NATURE! – natural cinema”
Projections of movies and photographs on the theme of nature, environment and their protection.
„HEAR ME – I`M NATURE! – nature sounds”
Playing authentic sounds which simulated being in nature.
„PLASTICMEN”
The stage mascots (people covered with plastic cups and bottles) who, by their appearance and performance, carried out the message about the plastic invasion, and the waste problem in general.
